Flexible plastic tube in which the wire arch can be inserted to create a protective sleeve.

The sleeve of greater diameter acts as a protective bar (defense) to protect the buccal mucosa from irritation in the area of the pre-molars.

When cut in appropriate lengths, the sleeves can function as horizontal stops to prevent overcrowding of space in any part of the arch.
