Eliminate the need to apply stops (stops) to the arcs. The pre-positioned stops allow positioning them where they are desired until they are crimped or tightened. The new NiTi with stops are pre-positioned with crimpable stops. The stops are placed by friction on the wire so that they slide into position and remain there. A crimp or tight end is then applied so that the stops remain in place. The stops are soft and easily crimped using a clip or cutter. They can be placed anywhere although they are usually mesially crimped to the anterior crowding. The arches with stops are effective with any bracket system and are especially popular for unsar with self-ligating brackets.
